For the fifth time, Herbacin is hosting the well-known and highly popular Herbacin Challenge among sports enthusiasts. Together with their testimonial, extreme athlete Joey Kelly, and his son Luke Kelly, athletically motivated participants take on the adventure of a lifetime. The original plan for the fifth Herbacin Challenge was an expedition in the Scottish Highlands. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this had to be postponed for the time being.
After the previous Herbacin Challenges in South Tyrol, Iceland, Namibia, and Costa Rica were a huge success—and countless applicants once again hoped to experience an unforgettable challenge this year—Herbacin decided to take a different approach: this year, it’s going digital!
Herbacin Challenge 2020: July 18–24, 2020
The six selected athletes, coming from all over Germany and even Luxembourg, will compete daily from home against Joey and Luke Kelly. A truly unique challenge.
Like all participants of the Herbacin Challenge, Christiane—the local representative from Thuringia—receives the daily task each morning via video message. From that moment on, Joey and Luke Kelly, along with the six participants, have until midnight to complete the challenge and document it on video.
This year’s tasks range from skill-based challenges to endurance, strength, and mental resilience. But there’s one more key ingredient required this year: creativity.
Who will complete the challenges in the most creative way? Who is the most enduring runner, the most skillful participant, or the most entertaining performer? And most importantly: who can keep up with the highly motivated Joey Kelly and his equally driven son Luke? The community gets to decide—by voting daily on Instagram @herbacincosmetic. The participants’ videos, along with those of Joey and Luke Kelly, will also be available on YouTube and Facebook.
At the end of the Herbacin Challenge, one winner will be crowned and rewarded with an unforgettable experience together with Joey and Luke Kelly. What exactly that will be remains a surprise—revealed only at the very end of the challenge.
